I didn't mean they were the same in the way modern consoles are. I meant that they're both extremely well rounded.

Yes, you're missing out on a ton if you only choose one, but my point was a lot of the console's respective fanboys don't feel that way because their console of choice covers all the bases they want, perhaps in their opinions in a way better than the competition.

We have the hindsight today that shows us how incredibly different they are but some people haven't appeared to develop that hindsight.

For the record, I don't hate Sega in general. I just really think the Genesis sucks, it's my least favorite console that I've ever owned.

I don't remember all of them honestly, I've probably had 50 or 60 Genesis games in my possession at one point or another. I admit that I never had much interest in it/them in the first place.

I honestly can't even fathom how a console with stuff like Rocket Knight Adventures could be anyone's least favorite ever

I too find it impossible to imagine someone hating such a console. General Norris pretty much said that he didn't like the console, not hate it. (Plus he forgot to mention he really likes the DKC trilogy and Megaman so ), but hate to me means you wouldn't even accept one for free.

I didn't say I hate it. I said I don't hate Sega in general which was in response to people saying that people like me don't even give the company a chance.

It's just that "sucks, least favorite console that you've ever owned" is pretty harsh sounding for a system with such a large and diverse library.
