I have had a SNES for 3 years now, and I've still never bought Super Metroid. I also have had a Dreamcast for the same length of time, and still don't have Shenmue.

Re: confess: what classic game have you not played but should
this thread is starting to make me wonder what games all of you have played.
by the way, the point of the thread wasn't for people to list all the games they haven't played, but the really classic ones that everyone's played but you haven't.

I still have a ton of games I really want to play:
Golden Axe Warrior (The SMS game I want to find most of all)
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap
Kirby's Adventure (Grew up playing Dream Land on GB though)
Phantasy Star II,III,IV (Huge fan of first one - never see these for cheap)
Any Shining Force games
Earthbound (The SNES game I want to find most of all)
Super Castlevania IV
Super Metroid
Neutopia (The TG16 game I want to find most of all)
Lunar: Silver Star Story (I loved Eternal Blue - Played complete on PS1)
Snatcher
Popful Mail
The Secret of Monkey Island
Any Panzer Dragoon game
Elemental Gimmick Gear
Pikmin
Ico (Only ever played a short demo)
Shadow of the Colossus (Again, only ever played a demo but liked it a lot)
Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
Sonic Advance
Those are just a few of the many games I want to be able to play at some point.

I've actually purposefully been avoiding that game. I know there's just no way it will live up to the Genesis games, and will just leave me bitter.

I was pleasantly surprised by and enjoyed Sonic Rush on DS a lot, so I thought I might as well give it a go, but I'll be very taken aback if I find it as fun as the Genesis games were. I don't plan to go into having those expectations cause if I do I can almost guarantee disappointment.

I tried to list games regarded as classics that I own but have never touched, not just my backlog. Sorry if I did it wrong.

I've never played anything on a N64. Ever. Nope, Sony all the way for me.
That also applies to Gamecube.
