I own and love both of those movies. You'd probably also enjoy GUNG-HO.

So far from those lists, I've seen Argo, The Hobbit, Lincoln and Moonrise Kingdom.

The Master wasn't released anywhere close by. I do want to see Hitchcock and Django, it's just a matter of waiting for them to show up around here. Les Mis I'll probably see sometime this week. It's one of my mom's favorite books, so it's a guaranteed viewing. Life of Pi looks interesting to me, it's just suffering the fate of being the least interesting to me off all the movies that I want to see.

Hyde Park on the Hudson is another one I'm waiting on.

I did manage to catch Beasts of the Southern Wild, though. That was decent.
That's the trouble of limited releases I guess. I don't intend to view Hobbit, based on personal choice. Might have been a good idea waiting a couple more months to determine my 2012 favourites

It's a really great movie that has Keaton at his Keaton-est.

And don't google Terri Garr. Unfortunately she's gone way down hill. But yeah, she was a total knockout in Mr.Mom and Young Frankenstein. I'm trying to think of other suggestions that you may like.

A FISH CALLED WANDA
LUCAS
HEATHERS
RUDY
KRAMER VS. KRAMER

I think most of these were filmed around the same time.

edit* Hollywood movie reviewers are really grating on my nerves. DJANGO is NOT a spaghetti Western. Why are so many reputable critics calling it one? They should know better, or at least know the genre. It's like calling BLAZING SADDLES a spaghetti Western; it's NOT. Ticks me off to no end.

And even better, Spike Lee said "I"m not going to see it" and then calls the movie "disrespectful". A big Herm Edwards "HELLO!?!" to Lee. How can you critique a movie you haven't seen?

So we have a director criticizing a movie he hasn't watched and critics who don't even know their movie genres. Ugh.

Nice story about a man facing his personal demons.

Do not go into this expecting an action movie or you will be disappointed...

Are you sure you didn't watch FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR?

FLIGHT is anything but a nice story.
It's depressing as hell and the movie's message is basically that is okay to give up on life.
Denzel totally channels Ice Cube's Father in Friday the entire movie which can be laughable at times. "Eating all the chitlins".
