2 movies...........
Mr. Mom , with Michael Keaton and Teri Garr..........Teri Garr = sensational female
second movie
Adventures in Babysitting , with Elisabeth Shue and Keith Coogan..........Elisabeth Shue = phenomenal female
im mostly into old school stuff from the 80's and 90's ........the TV shows and Movies kicked ass.........2000-2012 omg almost everything stinks.
What was the last movie you've seen?

I own and love both of those movies. You'd probably also enjoy GUNG-HO.s8n wrote:2 movies...........

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
thanks for that tip about the movie Working Class Man ( alternate title )
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
That's the trouble of limited releases I guess. I don't intend to view Hobbit, based on personal choice. Might have been a good idea waiting a couple more months to determine my 2012 favouritesMichi wrote:So far from those lists, I've seen Argo, The Hobbit, Lincoln and Moonrise Kingdom.dsheinem wrote: How about The Master, The Hobbit, Lincoln, Hitchock, Zero Dark Thirty, Les Mis, Django, Moonrise Kingdom, or any other number of likely Oscar picks? I usually can't list my top films of the year until February/March
The Master wasn't released anywhere close by. I do want to see Hitchcock and Django, it's just a matter of waiting for them to show up around here. Les Mis I'll probably see sometime this week. It's one of my mom's favorite books, so it's a guaranteed viewing. Life of Pi looks interesting to me, it's just suffering the fate of being the least interesting to me off all the movies that I want to see.
Hyde Park on the Hudson is another one I'm waiting on.
I did manage to catch Beasts of the Southern Wild, though. That was decent.

It's a really great movie that has Keaton at his Keaton-est.s8n wrote:thanks for that tip about the movie Working Class Man ( alternate title )
And don't google Terri Garr. Unfortunately she's gone way down hill. But yeah, she was a total knockout in Mr.Mom and Young Frankenstein. I'm trying to think of other suggestions that you may like.
A FISH CALLED WANDA
LUCAS
HEATHERS
RUDY
KRAMER VS. KRAMER
I think most of these were filmed around the same time.
edit* Hollywood movie reviewers are really grating on my nerves. DJANGO is NOT a spaghetti Western. Why are so many reputable critics calling it one? They should know better, or at least know the genre. It's like calling BLAZING SADDLES a spaghetti Western; it's NOT. Ticks me off to no end.
And even better, Spike Lee said "I"m not going to see it" and then calls the movie "disrespectful". A big Herm Edwards "HELLO!?!" to Lee. How can you critique a movie you haven't seen?
So we have a director criticizing a movie he hasn't watched and critics who don't even know their movie genres. Ugh.
