I'm still on track for this:
noiseredux wrote:I will probably do what I do every year: Say I'm not gonna make a list cuz I know I won't have time to play those ten games. Then last minute make a list of ten games. Then get excited and beat one of them right away. Then play a couple minutes of the other nine. Then ignore them all Summer as I focus on recently released games instead.
As of right now, I've got no list. I've got no real plan to make a list. But in the past I always say that my Summer runs from June through August. But then I start it on Memorial Day weekend. Anyway, if I were to make a list I'd probably put Final Fantasy IV on it since I've never beaten it and I did beat Final Fantasy one Summer and then moved on to II and then played III last year. But also a chance I won't participate at all. Don't know.

I'm all lubed up and ready to go. Friday is the day.

Gonna attempt Ikari Warriors on Commodore 64. Bad idea or worst idea ever?

If by "bad" you mean "best."

I started mine early. Don't gripe at me, I needed a change of pace from Pillars of Eternity. Beat Donkey Kong Country 2. :)

Besides, it's the deep South here. We always get summer early. ;)

If we're basing it of the weather, Bone won't be able to start until mid-July...and he'll have to stop by mid-August.

Thinking of changing my list slightly. Instead of having ten I'll start with five but include some longer games. With that in mind here are the five I want to play the most.

Phantasy Star IV
Devil May Cry 3
Super Mario Bros 2
Final Fantasy II
Zillion

I'll keep the others in reserve.

Final Fantasy with Elder Scrolls levelling? What could possibly go wrong?

Yes the time is upon us.

My list hasn't changed since earlier in the thread, but I have some possible alternates. Just in case one of these isn't classic enough.

I still need to acquire 4 of these games (not counting the alternates), but I have time to do that.

1.Mega Turrican
2.Dynamite Headdy
3.Vectorman
4.Earthworm Jim
5.Ghouls N' Ghosts
6.Toejam & Earl
7.Phantasy Star 4
8.Alien Soldier
9.The Revenge of Shinobi
10.Flashback: The Quest for Identity

Alternates:

Beyond Oasis
Shining in the Darkness
Strider
