I'll get one eventually. I just don't have space for one under my TV at the moment - the machine is a beast - and rebuilt joysticks cost more than I care to spend.

My brother bought one once. He couldn't get it to work and all the controllers were beyond salvaging. Just emulate it.

You need to have both for the street cred. I rock the PS1/PS2/BC PS3 all at the same time on the same TV as well.

Which leads me to 2015. After years of stockpiling and empty "I'll play all the games" promises - this year is a NO GAME NEW YEAR* for me. All backlog, all the time. A $0.00 amount of new money will be used on gaming.

*With a small caveat of gifts, gift cards (amazon, etc), rewards points (tied to amazon) and any funds from items sold being allowed to go towards gaming purchases. Also anything like PS+ games or club Nintendo freebies are fine.

So far YTD +$8.00 in my no game new year goal. Most of my purchases have been digital, and I've offset those with sales. 1/4 of the way there.

Quarter of the year down, time for a progress update!

1. Beat at least 60 games I've never beaten before
I'm on par for this so far!

2. Beat at least 2 Final Fantasy, 2 Fire Emblem and 1 Dragon Quest game
Currently at 0 Final Fantasy, 1 Fire Emblem and 0 Dragon Quest. Need to catch up on this!

3. Start and finish an alphabet marathon - play through an A-Z of unbeaten games
I'm at E still.

4. Limit the number of games being bought, if not necessarily the money spent overall. 2-3 games a month is plenty.
HAHAHAHA. This is my worst year for spending yet.

5. Beat a game I've not beaten before on all major consoles I own (exemptions for more obscure systems like Virtual Boy & Pokémon Mini).
Still some ways off of this!

^Stealing your format cause I like it

1. Beat at least 50 games. (I would like 10 of those to be RPGs but I'm not sure how doable that is)
I'm a bit behind with only 8 games beaten, but it's been a bit difficult to play many things with everything breaking :l Hopefully I can get things fixed and spend a good chunk of summer playing & beating more games.

2. If I beat 2 games, I'm allowed to buy 1 game (so I make sure I'm making my backlog smaller instead of bigger)
Yeaaah no. I broke that rule sometime in mid-Febuary with my SuFami (which I can't play atm anyway uggghhh)

3. Don't buy any bundles if I would be breaking goal #2 (last year I bought quite a few bundles and I didn't like a lot of the games anyway :/)
I know I was talking about digital bundles, but I think buying games in a lot counts as breaking this rule

4. Get my NES fixed already :l
Haven't had a chance yet, but I should be able to get this fixed this summer.

And I would love to get a SNES or Saturn, but I'm not sure how money will be this year so I won't make it a goal.
I actually managed to get a SuFami, so at least I made one goal! (even if it wasn't really much of a goal ha)

I will start playing the Mother series this year.

Here we are almost in April and not a Mother game played yet. I guess I'll start on that tomorrow then.

I don't think I've posted once in this thread or ever laid this out, but I did tell myself this would be the year I finally tackle the traditional Castlevania's.
