I think we've all unfortunately felt that one before.

There are a handful of games/series that I know I'm probably going to play every few years. But I never know what off title I'll one day really have the urge to dive into.

I go through this often with my childhood titles, mostly SNES games and PS1 RPGs.

I know this is N64, but I've done all of my NES collecting on the famicom. It's easier to find famicom games in good condition, as well as lower prices. The demand isn't high for Japanese imports of popular U.S. games (in most cases - gtfo Sega) so I recommend looking into importing if you'd like to remain authentic.

I've actually been thinking of selling my N64, simply because of the price of games and the fact that I'm not sure if there is enough games on it I would want to keep it to play. There's about 10, staying on the safe side, and some are very arcadey games that I might not continue to go back to. Most of these are available elsewhere, as downloads or ports, so I'm not really sure if its worth it. The only thing is certain games that don't really have ports, such as Blast Corps or Doom 64.

Of course, the only game I currently have is Harvest Moon 64...

Same here. Something about the last cart based system makes me want it. But I also want to play the games. Thinking...play roms until the market settles out (could take years) and then pick up the carts when the re-sellers get tired of holding out for high prices. I hope :D

Yeah, I just haven't looked much into the n64 stuff right now. Especially because in order to play any of it i need to buy a whole new system(I can play at my dads but that's only on the weekend and if I move in to my own place I'm not going to want to go there even on the weekends). Well I say I won't want to go to my dads but the truth is if I get a job in a weird place I'll probably make a trip to stay with him for church on sunday mornings. knowing my luck though, If i'm careful, there'll pop up a n64 lot on ebay(like the ps2) that no one will pay no heed to and it'll have some amazing games with it.
