I hate the Wii/Wii U because it's motion control based. If you could use the Gamecube controler for more Wii game's I would like it a lot more.
The Wii-U is not motion control based. In fact, I'm a little perplexed by this statement. The entire gimmick of the Wii-U revolves around a touch pad controller.
Yes, it supports Wii motion controls especially for mutlipalyer experiences. But most of its big titles are played on a relatively "normal" controller.
I hate the Wii U because it's a freaking tablet, i'd rather get a iPad if I was going to go the way of tablets.
That's really arbitrary since the Wii-U and an iPad do not do the same things.
Have you personally held a Wii U? It is literally like any other controller out there despite its size. It is far from the equivalent of gaming on an iPad.
Xbox....I hate microsoft in general...Xbox isn't anything good. I can't explain this much better then saying it's a meh console. I mean PS2/PS3 has a good game library...Xbox? Not so from what I can see. I mean there are some ok games just for the Xbox but it doesn't have the amazing library of games that the PS2 had. And don't get me started on the Xbox 360...just two words, red ring.
It's no surprise you would think this, you don't seem to be the type to look for your games.
The PS4? PS3 but more expensive.
Welcome to the world of video games. If you did not notice, every console is like its predecessor except...more expensive *gasp*. Ironically, you displayed disdain toward one of the few consoles that tried to be different from its predecessor aside from graphical power in the Nintendo Wii. So what exactly pleases you?
I actually find it ironic, because I remember Oxymoron was stressing on something like "What does the PS4 do that the PS3 doesn't do except look nice"? You guys do realize that there is actually more differences between consoles
today than there have been in the past right? What is the difference between the NES and SNES? Master System or Genesis? Isn't the PS2 really just a better PSX, or is it because it plays DVDs that it's some how dramatically different from the view point of a gamer?
Is that good enough or do I have to defend myself some more for everyone on here to be happy?
It still seems like you hate modern stuff 'just cause' to me.
You should watch "A Midnight in Paris". I always get annoyed when people go all "bah, todays stuff sucks, the old days were so much better!".
EDIT: I read your prior post after making this one, so disregard the parts where I say you "hate modern games", since you've made it clear you do not. However, I am still interested in why you hate Modern consoles but not old consoles. In the grand scheme of things, how are they different?
Oh I didn't say I didn't hate old consoles lol...like the Genesis...I might not outright hate it but I don't love it...i'd say I hate it more then like it. There's a few reasons to this but I don't feel like getting into them. And same goes for the Game Gear, the Gamecube is a 50/50 split most of the time...more like sometimes because of the great games on it. I actually might love old consoles but I hate them as well for a few reasons, their hard to collect for now, games are over prices, they have age working against them...so on.
What pleases me is...old consoles. Maybe it's because I grew up on them and favor them more then the new stuff. Or I got used to them and now dislike anything new. I dislike change..in general. I have a typical day planned out everyday and like sticking to it. Maybe it's OCD but eh. I mean the PS3...I don't love it. I like it because it plays PS1, PS2 and PS3 games so it's like 3 systems in one, freaking great for me since I don't have a lot of room. I like it because it looks pretty nice, the menu is nice and it has some...ok games on it. I have a small library of PS3 games but the ones I do have are pretty good.
And I don't seem the type to look for my games? What the heck does that mean? I have stacks of Xbox games...I see Xbox games at least every time I go to a yard sale or thrift store. So I have quite a few games for it...and out of the stuff I have or I see? I like maybe...5 titles. I look for good games, I look for games that I think I might like to try, but I'm limited to my money and what I can find out there. Maybe theres 50 games that are good on the Xbox, can I get to them? No...maybe I can get to 20 of them. But that doesn't mean I'd like them. People love FF games...I hate em. I get the stuff I like...not what other people like, thats why I don't have a ton of Xbox games. That and I dislike the Xbox. So why buy tons of games for a system I dislike?
No I haven't held a Wii U controller, I don't plan to. I know what they look like and I see a huge tablet with buttons on the side.
I thought the Wii U was like the Wii in that it focused on motion controls, so my mistake on that part. But by touch pad you mean...DS style right? Yeah...that doesn't make it better. I hate the DS because it focuses on that stuff...and a few other reasons. I'm starting to learn more about the DS and enjoy some games on it...but I still hate it. The same goes for the Wii...I have...10 or so games that I enjoy on the Wii. Still hate the Wii.
oxymoron wrote:GirlGamer55 wrote:The PS4? PS3 but more expensive. Maybe in x amount of years when they come out with PS5 or whatever I'll buy it used for 50 bucks. Because that's all I'd be willing to spend on it.
I won't argue about the motion controls because they suck ass. *internet high five* But you still haven't gone into detail why you don't like the PS4. I mean you says it's like a PS3 but what exactly do you mean.
From what I'v seen...which isn't much because I gave up on trying to follow the new gen stuff. It just looked like a PS3 to me. The console looks like a PS3, the controller looks like the PS3 controllers but with a screen jammed on it, and the games look like they could be for a PS3. It just screams PS3 to me. Maybe now it's a little different but eh. I just feel its a meh console and I have no excitement for it like I did with the PS3. I was super excited when the PS3 was first out...my god I wanted that thing bad. I had the PS2 and LOVED it and all it's games...so the PS3 should be great right? Since it's newer and has better stuff in it...not so much after I got it. I got it for christmas and the day I got it and played with it...I just felt that my mom got jipped for buying it. Now a few years later I don't feel like that anymore. I all ready said why I like it, but it's not an amazing console. None of these newer ones seem like amazing consoles to me anymore. After the PS2 and GC...idk the excitment died out for me.

Maybe now that a mod said it, everyone can stop ganging up on me.
And yes...that's EXACTLY how I feel right now. I feel like i'm being attacked and ganged up on because I hate new gen consoles and don't like the same things everyone else likes. And in some cases I was being attacked. I don't explain my opinions well enough because I don't want to drag on and on. I dislike leaving huge ass posts (like this one now). But just because of that you people feel the need to shine a spot light on me and say that i'm a teenager and i'm foolish? Or say that I don't know how to pick games?
Everytime I say I dislike something, I'm attacked. It happened when I said I hated the Wii and DS, when I said I hated RPG's...why do I need to defend myself on this forum? You guys need to learn that everyone is different and we all have our opinions. I might not like something that you love...THAT'S OK. You might love something I hate...THAT'S OK. I'm tired of defending myself on a forum that I thought was different then other forums, I thought everyone here was nice and friendly, I thought I was finally able to make some friends I can talk to about games and just whatever.
This is how your making me feel, not wanted. I feel like I should leave..do you really want to put someone down so much that they feel like they need to leave your forums?
