Howdy!
Idk, I guess I have gotten more acquainted with games like Donpachi, but yea R-Type is still amazingly fun. I guess I shouldn't be assuming from such a short video.

So now that the game has come out has anyone played it yet? I think I am going to try to get it with my next paycheck.

Pretty cool news. Does the Dreamcast get any indie games other than shumps? I seem to recall a racing game coming out about a year ago or so, but that's it. Don't get me wrong, I love shoot em ups as much as the next guy, but it would be interesting to see someone try and make an RPG or something.

I think the game you're referring to is Rush Rally Racing which is also made by RedSpot Games. RedSpot also made a puzzle game called Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles. So there are independent Dreamcast games coming out that aren't shoot 'em ups.

I imagine the reason there's so many shmups is because you don't have to worry about the language barrier.

The game is out, it sold out once, and has been restocked again!

At least that is the way the website makes it sound.

No, this game comes in the second quarter of this year, so between next month and July.

The pre orders have already filled up and they had to increase their limited run of the game. So even before the game has come out, it is sold out! I don't know how many they planned on making, 1 or 2 thousand copies? Anyway, this game has become wildly popular.

I'm very much interested in getting the double pack with Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles. Though it appears as though they'd be the same price separately. :?
