Ive put maybe 17-20 hours in to this game already in the past two days and have barely even started the main quest. I love this game. It may be the best video game I have ever played. I'm taking my time with this one.

Fallout 3 is the reason I bought a next gen console and its DLC is why I got a 360. Its definitely one of the best, if not the best, games I've ever played.

I am eagerly awaiting the Broken Steel DLC so I can get back to playing the damn thing (motherf&#$%# level cap!)

Regarding repetitive ruins, mostly agreed. I will say this: this game has bathrooms *everywhere*. Thats realistic I guess. But after the first 25 hours or so of searching every one, I realized I never found a single thing of value in there. Almost never enemies either. I asked a friend and he never found anything either. So at that point I just never entered bathrooms again. I'd recommend doing that right from the start if you are a F3 newbie.

By the same token, the subways are really repetitive. At the start of the game you need to navigate a lot of them. I explored everywhere in them, expecting to find secret bases, hidden treasure etc. For the most part I found mostly ghouls... So I'd restrict subway runs to only quest-necessary stuff.

Hmm, Ive found first aid kits in several of the bathrooms. Thats helpfull to me since I seems to be almost dead all of the time. Ive just been running around exploring for the most part. I keep running into wierd encounters and I keep thinking that I might be messing up some quest I havent received yet. Is this possible?

Just a thought. Does anyone else think this game kind of feels like a single player mmo? ... if that makes any sense.

I've always felt that the Elder Scrolls games (and now this game) feel like a single player MMO (though the combat is far more active).

I got this last Christmas, put in about twelve hours and stopped playing. I don't know, it doesn't seem like a bad game. I just can't motivate myself to play it for some reason.

Maybe because it feels so much like Oblivion, and I put over 150 hours into that. I guess I've had my fill of Bethesda games this generation already.

Completely agree at it being awesome. I had it preordered and was playing it nonstop when it came out. I hit the level 20 cap before I even did anything on the MQ. When I beat it I got really burned out on it and haven't really touched it since. I think I'll start again when I get some of the DLC's. I really need to make a melee char with the deathclaw hand.

Im at about 86 hours now and I havent even finnished the main quest yet. I got the three DLCs so that I could raise my level and not just waste XP (I'm at level 22 now)but I havent started on any of them either. I bet I get a good 200 hours out of this game. I love just wondering around exploring taking out raider camps and whatnot. I took the perk that puts all the locations on the map at level 21 and I wish I wouldnt have...would have been much better to just find them on my own.

I'm glad I'm behind the curve on this one. I'm going to get the Broken Steel DLC as soon as I hit level 20. It would suck to have gone and explored/killed more without the benefit of getting the XP. 45 hours in now. I can see how some would lose interest. At a certain point it just busts wide open and you're thinking ... uh, what now?
