[Unleaded Logic]

To me Resi lost its charm after RE2. They just topped themselves and couldn't repeat the feat. RE4 felt like a shallow TPS with little horror elements. Silent Hill has become rubbish as well. One surprisingly okay game I recently tried was Cold Fear. It certainly controlled better than RE4 and had more 'atmosphere' thanks to the fixed camera angles.

Cold Fear was great! Finished that before even playing RE4 and when I did play RE4, I never finished that...

wow so much hate for RE4 and i thought the general consensus was it was a great game... it certainly looked ok and i really liked the look of the over the shoulder camera (i havn't actually played it yet)

i always thought it was considered the best in the series not the worst =S

Chill dude. I don't hate RE4 but I think it's a radical departure from the original roots of the series turning it into a TPS. Most members here probably consider RE4 a triple A title.
