let´s make it clearer - influency doesn´t matter. the only thing that matters is, as you said, how much we miss by the fact, that the game was never ported to PC.

The Neverhood is my all time favorite PC game and it should have been ported but it never made it. Just it's crappy sorta-sequel Skullmonkeys. I want to like it, but I just can't.

You didn't like Skullmonkeys? Really? Wow...I never thought I'd hear anybody say that.
You know, there are a lot of awesome games that never made it to console...it'll be hard to shorten it so much. You're gonna have to include stuff like Quake, Warcraft/Warcraft 2, Descent: Freespace, Diablo 2(I don't think any of these had console ports at least). I suppose an MMO or two should be thrown in, since they're influential but almost none have ever been ported. And what about mods, like TF and TFC? Those are classics, but not officially published games. Should they be included?
In all honesty, I'd say we could break it down into the two genres that were almost exclusively PC until last gen, FPS and RTS. There were quite a few FPS games on console before the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox era, but few that actually deserved being remembered(and few actually are). As for RTS...I know there were a couple ported, but it's a ridiculously low number because multiplayer just wasn't up to par for them. Starcraft 64? Can you say "Crap"?

quake is available for N64 and Sega Saturn, but I don´t think it´s still so great

and about that FPS - most of them are not worth of much in these days, except a few like System Shock 1, System Shock 2 etc

Looked ok, it was funny, music was great, controls were horrid and I just got bored with it. That was 10 years ago so maybe I'll try it again.

You forgot Adventure games. Monkey Island got ported to Sega CD, and KQ5 got an awful NES port, but that's about it as far as I can tell.
Oh, I guess the NES port of Maniac Mansion isn't all *that* bad.

Didn't Myst get ported as well? And as for Quake getting ported...it did, really? I didn't know that. I know Doom got WAY too many ports, and Hexen got ported, as did Dark Forces...was the original Half-Life ported, because I remember a HL game coming out for PS2, but I thought it was a different storyline with two characters.
Heretic didn't have a port, did it? I still enjoy playing it, even if the controls aren't so hot...heck, it's hard going back to before the WASD, but I'll still play Wolfenstein, so I suppose I shouldn't talk..

Oh yeah, and Ott0bot, I'd say give it another shot, but it's been years since I played so I couldn't say I'm not remembering it through a pair of rose-tinted glasses. Most of all I remember the humor, which is what I really enjoyed. Universe Enema? Greatest item name ever...
