Go forth! To the Thrift Store!
Well I looked at their web site and it does say that they spend 83% of the money to train people to work. Im not sure what these training programs are like. Its just that I see these brand new superstores poping up all over the place that look very nice. Companies like Best Buy actually buy their products and have overhead and training programs too. But they also buy the items and sometimes make little or no profit off of it. Goodwill gets peoples old items to resell and I feel like poor people might feel like they are getting a good deal (because its second hand) when they arent (sometimes for just a few more bucks they could buy a brand new computer desk from Walmart). Maybe your right, and im just being sour. Maybe they are cheap in other places but I have lived in OH, TX, and FL now and they all seem to work the same way and have similar prices to me. If I have items to donate I will take them to a small local thrift store because they usually sell it for less which is the whole point. If I could just give the item to someone else for free I would and cut out the middle man all together. But hey, I could be wrong.

I'd love to find cheap games at thrift stores, but unfortunately my city is pretty trendy and all the hipster assholes play old videogames ironically to, oh, I don't know, add to their overall pretension. Because there's a high demand for the games, they all cost way more than I pay online for old systems.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is Jack Thompson - the attorney who has all the problems with the sex and violence in the GTA series and other video games.lordofduct wrote:I once got a virtual boy for like 10 bucks at a thrift shop... they had no idea what it was.
and "All Hail The New Flesh"... what the HECK is up with your siggy?

Its the ole' Wacko Jacko Himself Jack Thompson, since he hates all video games, and I found this picture of him holding a copy of GTAIV, I am pretty sure its photoshopped, but I just don't care, its too good not to pass up.lordofduct wrote:I once got a virtual boy for like 10 bucks at a thrift shop... they had no idea what it was.

Last time I saw a CDX was 2 weeks ago. Mint in box, complete... Completely a rip-off for $400.Adderall wrote:Great find! Nice on the Mario All Stars.
2 weeks ago I found a *MINT* sega CDX for like 30 bucks. I was really excited! I'm going to hit up the stores this weekend, hopefully find something cool.

It's Auctiva's fault I tells ya! Their site hasn't been letting me upload images all day. Keep your fingers crossed I'm going to try first thing tomorrow morning. One of my finds I was pretty stoked about.xraydash wrote:Well... what'd you get?
