Re: Silpheed
Sounds like I might be best off just returning this copy and finding one that is scratch-free.

Dunno if I was just extremely unlucky.

Re: Silpheed
I had this game for about a year and only played it about 15 minutes. I didnt like it. There was nothing cool about this game to make it stand out from the crowd. (I had the PS2 version though)
Re: Silpheed
Did you quit due to dying too often? It's not an easy game and in fact can be frequently frustrating. But it certainly stands out from the Sega CD crowd (FMVs, etc.), so I'm not sure why you would think otherwise. It's a better Sega Cd game than the PS2 version is a PS2 game...env963 wrote:I had this game for about a year and only played it about 15 minutes. I didnt like it. Re: Silpheed
my copy glitches on the third level and there are only a few light scratches on it.
the game will jump to a screen that says something like "disc error" and will kick me to the continue screen.

I didn't even get an error, the game just froze. I wound up exchanging that copy for Rise of the Dragon and some store credit.final fight cd wrote:my copy glitches on the third level and there are only a few light scratches on it.

The reason I didnt like it, was i own Rez, radiant silvergun, panzer dragoon, panzer dragoon zwei, Ikaruga, and skygunner. Those games ROCKED!!! This game was just plain vanilla. I feel spoiled by the other shumps that i own.
Re: Silpheed
Just got this for the first time today - and I love it, its fast and exciting. Sure the ships are pretty small but there are a lots of them and background is busy, and the music is excellent.
It does, however, have the smallest bosses I ever saw.
Got it for a reasonable price too (the bin sellers have been pushing the price of this up lately) with the spine card and in mint condition. The disk is flawless and the manual looks like its never been read.
