My legit copy doesn't do that. Sound is on, just doesn't sound quite like the genny. Kinda muffled or something, the eq is of balance.Mozgus wrote:Oh god what the hell? I finally tried Sonic 1 in the Mega Collection. Right off the bat, the sound goes nuts into a static mess for 3 seconds, and then the rest of the stage, the sound effects were randomly falling offsync by a half second. Pathetic.
Sonic Mega Collection + ~ This is the best there is?
Yeah, it must be random. I really doubt my hard drive is causing the issue, because the game just loads the rom and past that, it doesn't load anything else.ott0bot wrote:My legit copy doesn't do that. Ok Sega Genesis Collection sucks too. Fancy menus and nice extras, but who cares when the games still sound terrible? I think Ristar actually sounds worse here than it does in Mega Collection. Then I tried Sonic 2, and I immediately notice the SEEEEGAAA chant is scratchy and awful, and the ring grabbing noise is coming out of the left speaker only. Wtf? Turned it off. I can't believe it's actually worse than SMC. At least it does stretch to full screen.
Kega Fusion is the only decent way to emulate Genesis.

I don't recall having anything similar to complain about on my copy of SGC but I'll try it again tonight and see if I notice the same things you mentioned. As I mentioned above, I haven't tried every game on the disc, maybe some are better than others and maybe I only hit the good ones.Mozgus wrote:Ok Sega Genesis Collection sucks too.
