Dealing with an RB regular definitely has an advantage over someplace like eBay. On the rare occasions I sell something on eBay I feel like eBay took a lot of what I was expecting to get back.

Not to crud up Jag's BST thread with general discussion, but I find selling stuff through Ebay to truly suck these days. A lot of the time I feel like I'm letting things go to resellers through there (even if this isn't necessarily actually the case) when I would really rather have stuff going to people who actually want to own them. On top of that, Ebay's fee structure is garbage, and the effective rate is generally more like >20% despite them advertising 13%; Because in reality they end up taking 13% from the sale price and the shipping costs and state sales tax (which is the one I really find unbelievable). It makes it so that selling anything under $10 value is more or less a wash, and under $7 you're probably paying to get rid of it, particularly when offering free shipping which Ebay tries to coerce people into to increase sales volume.

Then after all that you still have the potential for returns, and implications for 1099-K on gross sales over a few thousand dollars. Personally, I want to avoid using Ebay as much as possible in the future. I've actually done pretty well unloading low to mid value games and stuff to Estarland, though.

Yeah... catch 22 on ebay. I want to keep my account looking relatively active in the event I need to move items there ... but agree it's a pain on multiple fronts.
