In the UK we don't have to do that. Most games shops leave the Star Points cards in the cases. I just go in and steal a load of em. Register em. Then convert them to to Wii points 4 stars to 1 Wii point is steep, but when the stars cost nothing in the first place, I don't care.

Besides I live in the UK. Nintendo doesn't give a shit about europe. We always get our games last and they're always stupidly expensive here. So I think I deserve it.

I realize it might have sounded like I was trying some sort of scam, but honestly I'm not. I was just curious to know if it could be done cause I might have grabbed some of the imported games like Sin & Punishment that I do not own. I wouldnt return it to the store after doing such a thing. Just so I could use it and still keep it looking nice and pretty.

Stealing is never right, unless the company is no longer making a profit. I.E. downloading an Atari 2600 rom....that's the only time I think stealing is appropriate.

I wouldn't ever work for a GameStop/equivalent type of store.

The last time I was there I get the rhetoric about how I shouldn't buy the new copy of the game I had in hand, it was available used for 4 dollars cheaper! Oh yey, I save 4 dollars so all my money goes straight to you bastards and the game company who made my game don't get a dime. Then the one company I actually idolize (Treasure) makes even fewer titles that hardly make it to our shore in very low numbers already.

Manager: "the game developers already got paid by the publisher"...

Me: "ermm... go back to economics class then dingle nut. Who'da thunk you work in a GameStop!?"

back on topic. If there were a way, and you wouldn't do it. The fact the directions exist here on the interwebs would allow access to it by everyone and their brother. So yeah, if I knew a way, I wouldn't tell you. You might not steal it, but there are plenty of people who would.

I'm not in Europe, so it's not an option. That said, I still wouldn't do it. I guess I figure if they bought the game from someone with the star points still in it, then the person who buys the game from them ought to get the points. Although, I wonder how many of the employees just gank them leaving you without anything to steal.

That's the problem. I've had games bought, 'brand new' but not sealed from those places which should have the star points in them. Low and behold their not in. You question the store, they just lie to you saying that that particular game doesn't come with them (bullshit!). I'm just re-addressing the balance imo.
