I doubt any legitimate site is going to fudge up the odds enough to make it any easier then regular sports gambling. So yeah don't bother playing unless you enjoy it and have money to blow.
If anything if the gambling establishment doesn't know their stuff they are going to stack the odds in their favor so honestly it would probably be more difficult to win money through this then regular sports where statistics and info is more widely available.

The way that you put it, you might be right. I was thinking that because of inexperienced bookies, I could have an edge being more knowledgeable. But as you're mentioning, it might be that they offer bad odds due to this.
