Actually, Fastbilly did log around 10,000 hours in Solitaire back in the days of X-Fire, though that mostly consisted of him leaving it on...mostly. He has still easily put in over 200 hours into it since I've known him.
According to Steam, the only game I have with over 200 hours is Payday 2. New content keeps getting added, the five different difficulties can change how you handle the numerous levels, you can do a ton of customization for loadouts depending on your playstyle... It's an easy game to sink a lot of time into, particularly when you play with friends like I do.
Are there any games that you have played for over 200 hours?

Mmm, from the top of my head:
Android: Netrunner
Civilization V
Magic: The Gathering
Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence
Pokémon Red, Pokémon Ruby
Team Fortress 2
Transport Tycoon Deluxe & OpenTTD
I don't think I was fanatical, they are simply fun games that you can play for very long. In fact, the only games with an ending on my list are the Pokémon games.
I don't regret putting so much time on these games anymore than I regret putting time in games in general. After all, if I played them for so long it's because they were very good and I enjoyed them.
My only regret is that I often spent time in TF2 that wasn't that fun because I was tired or too lazy to play something I fancied more.

Multiple playthroughs of Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, and EarthBound.
Probably 150 or so hours of A Link to the Past and Phantasy Star Online. Again, multiple playthroughs.

Only game I've put that amount of time into would be Mabinogi.
I liked it since it was very open in the things you could do compared to other MMOs. There weren't any classes, so 1 character could do everything. Plus I thought the non-combat classes were pretty neat.
I kind of regret it since it was so grindy, but I don't think I had many other games to play anyway so it's not a huge regret. Hopefully in the future I'll find a better game that I'll want to sink so much time into haha

Probably only one, and I'm not sure it's a hard number on it: Tecmo Super Bowl. Winning the Super Bowl with every team will do that.
The RPGs I've put the most time into are Xenoblade and Dragon Warrior VII. Both clocked in at around 100 hours. Save files are less, but factoring in restarts, game overs, and the like, they're across that threshold.
I've probably replayed Chrono Trigger enough times that I might have crossed that threshold with it. And while it's a short play, I've gone through Contra enough times that it wouldn't surprise me if I were at least approaching 100 hours.
But no, I burn out on most games well before that number. These days, 30 hours is pushing it. Although I did have about 80 hours in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I didn't expect to see a modern game in the list. Destiny hasn't even been out for a full two years yet!
2 years X 365 days * 24 hours = ~17,520 since the game released
1200/17520 = at least 7% of your hours alive in the last two years have been spent playing Destiny
Have you played other games in that time frame or do you just fire up Destiny every time? What's got you so hooked?

I used to work with a guy who had put almost 3000 hours into Destiny. I didn't believe him until he proved it to me. He was still playing the game last time I spoke with him.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Oh its probably close to 10k hours now. If you are counting digital and physical and both Klondike and Spider. I go in spurts. I have carried a deck of cards on my person for over 20 years now (thats kinda scary to think about), and I use to travel alot for work, so lots of Solitare. It is also not uncommon for me to play both types at the same time - my goal is to complete a 4 suit Spider sometime in my life.Ack wrote:Actually, Fastbilly did log around 10,000 hours in Solitaire back in the days of X-Fire, though that mostly consisted of him leaving it on...mostly. Videogame wise. Payday 2 and Terraria are the only ones that have properly working timers. By estimates: Team Fortress Classic, UT2k4, Goldeneye, and Mario Kart 64 are all over 200. They were popular when I was in college and I still play all four atleast a couple times a year.
Re: Are there any games that you have played for over 200 ho
Yeah, I'd estimate over 200 hours in both Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy Tactics just because I've replayed them both multiple times. I maxed out the clock in FFT. Twice.
And Team Fortress Classic is probably a no brainer for another. Heck, I've probably put over 200 hours into the original Call of Duty as well thanks to so many nights of multiplayer in college, as has Fastbilly.
