Battle of the Bands. 3 of the Season 2 Face-Off games (Crater Raiders, Jet Jocks & Post Haste) were developed by Psygnosis!

I also watched this review of Nick Arcade just before this thread was posted -- there were 11 Video Puzzle games used throughout the series! (If you may have noticed, many of them started off each round.)

If you want to watch episodes, Youtube user NickGASfan has uploaded alot of episodes

Along with GUTS, Hidden Temple, and a couple other shows.

If I remember correctly, all the custom games were running on amigas? I wonder if anyone on the show still has the files.

There was one that really annoyed me though. A girl playing that generic Pharoah level and she just kinda stood around not knowing what to do at all.

Yes, agreed. The collision detection on the end segments seemed terrible. I suppose the collision detection was completely manual too -- an assistant "estimating" when an item/enemy made contact with a player.

What about the show Video Power? Do you guys remember that too? I only saw that show a few times, but I loved the maze at the end where the winning contestant got to run through with the velcro suit and pick up as many games as they could.

I mentioned it earlier in the thread. It was on at 6:30AM but I'd get up to watch it.

Yeah, I used to watch video power. What a great marketing vehicle.

Kind of related, animated but related. We should never forget Captain N the Gamemaster, the Power Team, or the 3-4 iterations of the Super Mario cartoon (of which the first did Zelda fridays.) All of them really shoveled out the marketing meat. Earlier even yet there was that one show, Supercade or whatever it was with a few arcade characters on it like DK Jr. Kind of maybe a reach, but also Dragon's Lair and Space Ace too.
