I'm definitely super dark side but I didn't go full caster Jedi. It's this weird hodgepodge of options that I thought would work but in practice makes for a frustrating run through. I am 17 hours into it though - turning back is not an option.MrPopo wrote: The only time I wouldn't go soldier is if I was creating a full caster Jedi. And that you only want to do if you're going dark side in KOTOR1, since KOTOR1 lacks offensive options for a light side caster. KOTOR2 fixes that.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Any good controller support/mods?

None that I've seen. Fortunately, the game supports directional button input so it shouldn't be too hard to map the keys to a controller using some 3rd party software.

Re: Together Retro: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
I am playing the XBOX version (I have both it and the KOTOR2 on console), is there any major difference?
Also, while we are at it how bout the difference between KOTOR2 PC & XBOX?

To the best of my knowledge, other than post release mods and the most recent KOTOR2 update that hit Steam recently, not really.
I do remember there being an unpatched game breaking glitch that occurs towards the end of KOTOR on a dark side playthrough. It is at a point where you can force a party character to murder someone - tragic shit and also it crashes your game. So even on Xbox I recommend saving often and on multiple files.

The Xbox was the original platform for KOTOR; the main major difference I'm aware of is that the PC version of KOTOR1 has a planet you can visit with an end game shop on it. Nothing too game breaking, just slightly better than what you can get normally. But you do have the option of saving your credits and picking up one piece earlier than you should.

LucasArts logo, crashes.
My life of PC gaming. Super fun.
Well KOTOR2 seems to work very well on Steam. I might just try to grab an Xbox copy of the first game and bust out that tankbox to check it out.

KOTOR will work - you may need to fiddle with it a little. I think running it in windowed mode may help. What is your OS?

I'm on Win7. Originally got to the main menu at least in Steam Big Picture mode, but the mouse wasn't working. I could see the cursor but couldn't select anything in the menu, kind of weird.
