Bomberman Blast is another goodie, up to 8 players and lots of fun options to mess around with. No solo stuff to speak of really, but for large multiplayer sessions it fits the bill, and is easier to get running at max capacity than Saturn Bomberman (and I've never had the 9th/10th person to make the difference).

I wonder if it might be worth putting together some articles for the site about interesting downloads for WiiWare, XBLA, PSN and DSiWare for last-gen consoles?

I suppose they aren't retro enough to count yet, unless we did a retro-style focused article.

I wish I could say it's a good game, but I'm still not sure. It has great graphics and music, but there's some really dumb game design at times. Plus it's actually harder than the original! Worth playing a bit though for nostalgia's sake.

I wasn't a big fan of this one. It was cool that they made a decent FPS fit onto the WiiWare service, complete with online co-op and decent pointer controls... but it still ended up being kind of mediocre overall.

Impressive because of the limitations, but also a product of those limitations.

Well ended up getting the zombie panic in wonderland demo which seems like a perfect game to use the zapper with(and I need to find the sensor bar for my U since I didn't hook it up somehow when hooking up the console which I don't really need it but this game needs to be played on the tv instead), gradius rebirth(which is fun but I suck at it), and my life as a king(which has sucked away about 4 hours today....)

I bought Vampire Crystals a while back and just bought And Yet It Moves. Both good games are worth getting though I wish there were a permanent disc copy. Still debating on Wiiware World Of Goo, already own the DRM free disc version on the PC.

Vampire Crystals can be played with a Classic Controller as a Twinstick game! Oh and with a Mayflash adapter and a PSX Twinshock Arcade stick; Robotron with Zombie kills, beautiful Arcade Controls and sooo much fun!



And Yet It Moves also is on the PC as DRM free download, but the world can only be twisted at 90 degree intervals. Only the Wii version offers full 360 spin control of the world!

Absolutely get this game. Plays like PSP Loco Roco. I redeemed the full game thru the Club Nintendo Coins.

Thanks CRT I almost forgot about this post. I've temporarily updated the posts with quotes of various recommendations. I'll try to refine, and improve the post to look more professional but I do think it would be a great idea to refine this into a overall topic discussing them. It does seem like a topic that does need more expansion since there seems to be so many titles on the service yet it is a bit tiring to look at how many titles there is and know which are decent and which to skip. Thoughts?

Edit: why we're at it why not lump in some dsi ware? Both have a decent place in gaming history at this point and I think a overall topic for both could be useful

ShadowPlay on WiiWare. A great idea that fits perfectly with the Wii, uses Wii Motion Plus extremely well. A concept so easy to grasp it's obvious, but still clever and accessible for anyone. It's a puzzle game of creating shadows with objects to fill an outline. Very polished presentation as well.

Bit Trip Runner if you don't have the Bit Trip collection disc.

Excitebike World Rally. A perfectly serviceable little rendition of Excitebike with kind of "32 bit" ish 2D graphics and a non trivial difficulty.

I love the wiiware games. Just got bomberman. Didn't know I had ten dollars of wii points left.
Was thinking of getting adventure island returns but I heard it's a bad game

Vampire Crystals looks right in my wheelhouse.
