1. Finish building my new house and get started on my basement gameroom.
2. Upgrade my soldering equipment so that I can do better/more advanced mods.
3. Make a SNES cable for my multi-console arcade stick which will also allow GameCube/Wii support with my RetroPort adapter.
4. Buy a PS1 to SMS/Genesis adapter and a USB to original Xbox adapter to round out my arcade stick compatibility.
5. Add a Xbox One padhack to my arcade stick by the time I purchase Mortal Kombat X.
6. Purchase a Wii U before Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out.
7. Purchase my remaining highly anticipated games.
8. Get the last few Sega Saturn fighters that I want (Street Fighter Zero 3 not likely to happen though)
9. Put a serious dent in my backlog.
10. Sell the games from my backlog that I finish and aren't worth playing again to help fund the above.
11. If by some miracle I accomplish all that I and still have time & money - break into the TG16/PC-Engine scene.

A quick and simple response,

Map out and get the high score on every Galaga machine near by. I've been practicing since a month ago for this resolution.

You're not in Maine are you? If so you'd have to best some of my scores...

This should be #1.

Three words: PC Engine Duo.

That is the plan. That and a Turbo Everdrive most likely.

Blu wrote:JMBarnes, I really thought the goal for Nintendo First Party Games was quite lofty, then I saw that even the Nintendo 64 / SNES have like 14-16 First Party Developed Games and slightly larger list when they're the publisher. That's a cool resolution for sure.

Here's my few:

1. Expand my Wii-U Library and play through all the games I have purchased so far. (4)
2. Play through the rest of my Dreamcast games that I've been wanting to.
3. Purchase and play through at least 5-10 games that I have on my wishlist.
4. Trim the fat, get rid of more games that I have no interest sitting in my collection collecting dust.
5. Play the Last of Us for PS3.
6. Experience a Fire Emblem Game. Suggestions?

It won't be something I finish quickly and a lot will be determined by whether or not I decide to go cart only or if I feel a compulsion for CIB. Earthbound is the holy grail of this collection and I don't know if I'll grab PAL/JPN exclusives as well or just US. I'm not going after StarFox or Donkey Kong competition carts or any of the NES World Championship carts. Nor will I go after variants or NFR games. In hindsight it's something I've regretted, but I got in a money pinch in 2013 and sold off most of my N64 collection.

As for Fire Emblem you can't really go wrong with any of them. However, I would suggest starting with either Awakening (3DS) or either of the two US GBA titles (FE or FE: Sacred Stones). Shadow Dragon or either the NGC or Wii versions are decent if you already have them though the last two are very pricey if you don't. One of my favorite series though and a lot of fun if you like strategy turn-based games.

1. Beat at least 50 games. (I would like 10 of those to be RPGs but I'm not sure how doable that is)
2. If I beat 2 games, I'm allowed to buy 1 game (so I make sure I'm making my backlog smaller instead of bigger)
3. Don't buy any bundles if I would be breaking goal #2 (last year I bought quite a few bundles and I didn't like a lot of the games anyway :/)
4. Get my NES fixed already :l

So basically... put a dent in my backlog haha.

And I would love to get a SNES or Saturn, but I'm not sure how money will be this year so I won't make it a goal.

One and only one goal.

Clear the backlog - anything that I don't actually want to play goes on the auction block.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Well I almost made a thread for this a few days ago and just now noticed this one so here's mine:

1.) Knock out backlog items from my childhood(ff1 is way down the list last I've checked but it will be beat after every pokemon up to emerald except coliseum, golden sun(made it to the final boss but never beat because of the ridiculousness and because I was underleveled), toy story 2, quest for camelot, good chunk of the nes library, and even more so a big chunk of my gba library including games I need to rebuy since i still count them in the backlog)
2.) Expand all my systems including wii, gamecube and ds(I've enjoyed these systems but never really got into them since for a good chunk of my childhood I was stuck in the n64/ gb/c/a era). Plus I never expanded much beyond the big name titles for each system.
3.) Since I never did truly own a playstation(including the portables) or Super Nintendo growing up(only played the various playstations over the years in stores and only know of the big name 3d platformers and rpgs on the system to some exetent) I want to dive deeper into their libraries and pick up the big name games I don't own and any cheap ones i can find

(and yes ff1 will be beat, I have a memory card on the way just not on the plate to be played until at least september or october considering all the others I have to play first)
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.
