Based upon the title, I must assume that Arnold goes back in time to 1989 to prevent the Sega Genesys from launching skynet.

anything involving time travel tends to go weird

time travel in plots allows the liberty to change a few things in later sequels.

I enjoyed the trailer. Whether the movie gets my $10 bucks has yet to be decided.

On another note.....

who's going to photoshop "Genisys" onto an actual sega console?

I need some LOL

I hope you guys follow Arnold Schwarzenegger on Facebook, because he just posted a video of him playing the Terminator theme with a teacup and spoon with the trailer dropping sometime today.

Seriously though, his Facebook is pure comedy gold. It's unbelievable. Arnold Schwarzenegger selfies, Arnold Schwarzenegger hanging out at Walmart... it's funny as hell.

The writers could sneak in some clever commentary on the current affairs of autonomous technology and all that hoopla, but I don't think they would bother

God bless Arnold but he looks SOOOO OLD... probably because, you know, he is.

I read a rumor somewhere that they're going to explain the aging by saying Terminators are actually created from real people...?

With all these franchises, they have excellent movies in their pasts, and the latest version is directed/written by someone different or has a completely different cast. I mean I think Star Wars is a perfect example of this:
1.) The original trilogy is awesome (idea by Lucas, 1st written/directed by Lucas, 2nd and 3rd others)
2.) The second trilogy is mostly terrible (everything by Lucas)

If you suppose that part of the reason that the second trilogy sucked because Lucas took over every bit of creative control and made poor choices with writing and directing and still think the world they've built is awesome, then why wouldn't you get excited about a new movie set in the universe that get's back to what potentially made the 2nd and 3rd movies great: someone else is directing and writing it.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Gee, I thought this was about the Terminator games on the Genesis. How wrong I was. Although I'd recommend Robocop vs The Terminator on the Genesis, as well as The Terminator on the SNES.

AND Terminator Salvation was a decent rail shooter in the arcade.

This concludes your similarly titled threadjack.
