best pokemon game?

I got sucked into the first wave of US Pokemania so naturally I put a lot of time into Blue. It didn't take long for the whole thing to wear off on me, though. So I skipped all Pokemon games thereafter. Years later I decided to give the DS version a try only to find...basically the same damn game except with a ton of Pokemon I didn't recognize. I'll choose my favorite game in the series the moment they make something a little different. Even taking the exact same mechanics and just transferring it to 3D would be enough. As it is, they all seem way too similar to me to pick one out of the crowd.

Pokemon Pinball is the best. Both versions are terrific, but the one for GBA was slightly superior.

But as far as the regular Pokemons go, it's all about Red. Blue is for queers.

No they are shit. Tried em. (I never bought em, thank feck.). Vacuous waste of a franchise to make money. Utterly pointless. Mystery Dungeon is a shame to the whole rogue-like genre.

250 was the perfect number. you could explore Johto AND Kanto, so it was like two games in one. with the new games I have no idea what the fuck a Probopass is supposed to be, at least the new pokemon didn't suck in G/S.

the world seemed so much smaller than in D/P. I had fun exploring and there was a nice variety of pokemon in any given area. I have 4 gym badges in D/P and I am still running into nothing but Geodudes all the time. wtf? let me see some different pokemon!

You right now that i think about it, 2 worlds = 2x the pokemans!
D/P's overworld is pretty lame, it would be cool if they remade G/S like they did for Red and Green version. So that you could actually play them on a DS

i also want to know if ruby or saphire are anygood, im trying to expand my team on Pearl with some different pokemon.
