So many great reasons to hate DW7 and you go and pick a reason that isn't even valid.

If your after a Tekken game, go for the third one. Easily the best in the series. Metal gear solid is still my favourite game so I have to mention that....um only other one that is coming to mind is Castlevania SOTN. I know these have already been mentioned but thought I would throw my support behind them.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

If you're in the UK avoid the Pal version. It's unplayable compared to the NTSC version.

I second Alundra, Thats an awesome game.

Also Little Big Adventure is one of the earliest games released for the system and i enjoyed playing that game.

get Klonoa Door to phantomile if you can. It's quite rare though now.

Heart of Darkness is awesome. Especially if you can get it with the 3d glasses (good luck though)

Fade to Black is pretty cool too, it's the pseudo sequel to Flashback. Checkout darkstone as well, that was also made by delphine software.

I couldn't stand looking at it. Are these people made of KY jelly!! Seriously WTF!!!!
Also, the plot and gameplay is lame..... but i picked it's most annoying feature to me.

Oh and I triple second Castlevania SOTN....it's one of my favorite games and I have no idea why I didn't list it.

Well you've certainly given me loads of games to stick on my want list.

When I go look at the PS1 games in Gamestation I take a look at the sheer volume of games and the high percentage that I've never heard off and just go look at the sega games instead. At least now I'll have a something in mind to look for

Scooter's choices are all damn good ones, too. Driver and Driver 2 are some of the first ones I'd get off his list.
Uhh...I hated Dragon Warrior 7. I can't believe it was the best selling game in Japan. The characters literally glide across the ground....it looks odd.

But anyway....if you like RPG's this is your system:
Chrono Cross is really great and cheap
Valkyrie Profile is amazing, but pricy
Star Ocean
Breath of Fire III & IV (i think i like 3 a bit better)
Saga Frontier (i didn't like 2 but some people did)
Threads of Fate
Legend of Mana
Vagrant Story
Lunar Silver Star Story and Eternal blue (sega cd remakes)
Grandia
Brigandine
Tactics Ogre
Persona 1 & 2

Fighters:
JoJo's Bizzare Adventure
Rival Schools

Shmups:
Thunder Force V
Einhander
RayStorm
RayCrisis
G Darius
Strikers 1945
Raiden Project
R-Type Delta

Lots of great stuff, plus the stuff on racket's list are good too.
Definately worth keeping one of the units!

Oh come on!!! dont leave brave fencer musashi. Thats one of the coolest games.
Wild Arms Excellent game at least I play it once a year (no kidding)
If you can play imports in it I highly suggest the adventures of little ralph I think it was the best platformer for that console.
The Battle Arena Toshinden Series were also good.
Bushido Blade 1 and 2 (Samurai Style fighting)
