Nuts.

Mario Kart is basically the only way I keep in touch with my friends overseas.

yeah that's what i had. just booted it from OPL. it was neat when it worked. but i haven't had my PS2 hooked up to my network in over 2 years, and i've had multiple netflix-capable devices since then, so i hadn't tried it. apparently they pulled PS2 support in 2012

I watch a lot of black and white films over Wii's Netflix, and they look fantastic on my 27' Sony CRT.

Kind of bummed about this, but most of the games I have that used to have robust online communities have long since dried up. Got my moneys worth from a few WiiWare games online multiplayer during their peak times, and Clubhouse Games DS used to have players all night long.

Wish I could go back a few years and stop myself from buying Super Street Fighter II Turbo on the Virtual Console just because it supported online play. Hardly ever found a game, and there are a handful of other games that $8 would have been better spent on.

Will I still be able to get DSi games on my 3DS? Should I be buying Dragon Quest Wars ASAP?

Edit: oh wait, DSi shop will keep working. *wipes off sweatdrop*

Thanks for the heads-up.

I'll have to download Harvest Moon and some other stuff I was thinking about before they shut it down.

I like how we are talking about the Wii as being preferable for SD-only Netflix streaming as if 360, PS3 and a bazillion other set top boxes can't also be hooked up in SD and stream netflix that way...

Just because because it ONLY can do SD, doesn't mean it it's worthwhile to do so :P

I know, I know, you have to justify purchasing that white pos gamecube mini gimmickbox for something, amirite?

I would use my 360, but after four of them died on me, I quit bothering.

Personally, I think that the Wii's "point-and-click" interface is way better and way easier to navigate than the interface on other devices.

EDIT: Also, the Wii is a great system, and I love it.
