Hmm, Cyberbots, Last Bronx, and Groove on Fight were already mentioned. What else do I have in my bag of tricks to bring up...

Oh, here we go.

World Heroes Perfect - This was the end of the WH series, and it shows how old it's Street Fighter 2 style was getting, considering it came out five months after X-Men: Children of the Atom and only a few weeks before Street Fighter Alpha. But it's a very polished take on the classic early 1990s no-frills 2D fighter, and I will forever love the simplicity of these games.

Galaxy Fight - This fighter from Sunsoft predates both their Waku Waku 7 and Astra Super Stars, and it uses the same engine as WW7 and mid-boss, though beyond that there's not many similarities. Again, this fighter has some old school methods and doesn't offer things like power bars for super moves, but it does include infinite stages as well as button combinations a la Virtua Fighter to perform attacks. And a dedicated taunt button!

Golden Axe: The Duel - I know, I know, some of you guys will likely scream "Heresy" for discussing the Golden Axe fighting game, but it's not a bad game! This is another simple one where characters have only a handful of special moves but have to acquire magic pots from thieves moving along the battlefield to build up enough power to unleash their specials, or Magic Moves. What can I say, I like old school, and I like it's fantasy theme. It sure beats the pants off the fantasy-themed Battle Blaze on the SNES.

Virtua Fighter Kids - It's chibi Virtua Fighter 2! What's not to like? The music is a bit faster, and there are a few options available not found in previous VFs, like unlockable ending movies. When friends say they want to play Virtua Fighter, this is the one I pull out first. And then we laugh.

Ack, you're my kind of gamer. I just didn't want to make 3 of my top 5 Sunsoft games (if I added WW7 and Galaxy Fight) and tried to spice it up. But I considered every one of those, too, it's amazing when you look back at how deep the Saturn fighter library is. I know some people would call this sacrilege, but I'll take the Saturn fighter library over the AES.

Oh yeah without a doubt the Saturn has one of, if not THE best fighting game library, especially when you considered what SNK fighters they do have and how good they are stacked up to the Neo Geo. My only gripe with the SNK library on the Saturn is that it has the worst of the Samurai Shodowns. If it had Samurai Shodown 2, then it would be truly blessed sight to behold!

Can't agree with some of Ack's choices.

Golden Axe: The duel is just not a good game. It's slow, it's way too hard and just isn't much fun to play. The only good thing about it was that I sold it for more than I paid. It looks good on youtube, but I can assure you, it does not play good. Not underrated or overlooked, just bad and shame on Sega for porting this and not Revenge of Death Adder.

Virtua Fighter Kids is ok but it's pointless. It is just big head VF. The big heads also cause a bit of trouble with throws and clipping. An example of this idea done much, much better is the aforementioned Pocket Fighter.
If you want a complete VF collection then sure, but as an underrated saturn fighter? Nah. Stick with Fighters Megamix which has chibi Akira and Sarah in it.

While we're getting into discussing these Sload, how do you feel about Sonic Council (if you have it, anyway)? Most people seem to hate that one, but I actually think it has a lot of redeeming qualities in terms of the fun factor, and it's one of those games you can play with someone who isn't a Fighter afficianado and still have a good match with button mashing. Also, I should say I don't own Golden Axe so I can't comment either way, but VF kids was alright in my book, just not up to par with Remix or Fighters Megamix. I'm with Ack 100% on his other three picks, though.

EDIT: Well, his other three if we count WW7, that is. I never claimed to be a math expert.

Sorry, I don't have Sonic Council. It's been on my radar though.

I can only comment on Golden Axe and VFkids. I just don't think they fit the point of the thread; they aren't underrated, they are just a bit crap. These threads can sometimes just devolve into people naming games that haven't been mentioned, though I think Ack was probably being a bit tongue in cheek and I'm being too serious. I'll stop now.

I don't own World Heroes Perfect but do own copies of Galaxy Fight, Golden Axe: The Duel, and Virtua Fighter Kids. VF Kids is a novelty, definitely, but it's a funny piece of obscure VF history that I love to pull out at parties, especially with friends who are fans of the series that don't know about it. Sure, it's not perfect, but I find it more playable than VF Remix for some reason(which I also own).

I have beaten Golden Axe: The Duel, and I don't think it's too hard when compared to the likes of things like WeaponLord. And yes, it is slow, but having played games like the first Samurai Shodown and Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior, I don't think that is automatically a bad thing. Is GATD a great fighting game? No, it's not. But it does things that I like and appreciate more than some other games that released around its era. Do I wish we had gotten Revenge of Death Adder? Oh Hell yes.

I suppose there is something that I should point out about my tastes in fighting games, and that is that I tend to be extremely forgiving of them and look for elements to enjoy in even some of the worst I've dealt with. I have played quite a few, ranging from the cream of the crop to the absolute bottom of the barrel, and I've found ways to enjoy even some of the most mediocre titles. Please remember, I'm the most vocal guy here in supporting Shaq Fu.

And Golden Axe: The Duel is still far better than Battle Blaze.
