Pretty much.

You dont need a huge sd card, i just went overboard with the one i have.

But you have to get another file to make it work.

Its not that hard finding it on line.

The harder part is finding the R4.

Acekard 2i is what I picked up after I got my DSiXL. The ability to carry 20 games with me at once was exquisite. Sadly now my XL is used mostly for emulated NES games and giving out Pokemon.

The comparison you opened this thread with is equal to complaining that my N64 can't play Gamecube games, or my NES cant play SNES games.

Going by the original post:

I've been with the DS since its release of 2004 all the way to my day one purchase of the 3DS in 2011 and I didn't feel alienated in any way. It was time for a new system I felt and they delivered. In the '04 to '11 time frame they delivered games on top of games as a first party powerhouse that they are. Pokemon, various Mario games, some great RPGs and so on. Fantastic third party support too. 7 years for a portable platform is awesome.

Again I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the post. Although I never experienced it I can see if the DS was similar to the Sega cases of the 32x and CD then Saturn then Dreamcast in quick succession. But the DS I can assure you was never like that.

I don't know why im still surprised that you guys had trouble gettin R4 for DS or chips for PS2. I always forget how the laws in my country are weak, i mean you can find those things in under a rock.

Seriously you buy a PS2 and it comes with a matrix chip... for free they don't charge extra. If you buy a fat ps2 (its more expensive because is a collectable  ) they even fill the hard drive with a bunch of games of your choice.

I have the Acekard as well and I love it. I think having all of those DS games on one card has spoiled me. :D
