Well, don't go see it just for Dwight -- he's only in it for a couple of minutes.
And it's not all "feel-good" they did a really good job of varying emotions throughout the movie.

I've gotta say that movie trailers very rarely give you a sense of what a movie's going to be like, ESPECIALLY movie trailers for indie flicks that've been picked up by a major studio.

I wasn't ganna see it anyway. I just have no urge to see a movie about a very smart, yet sarcastic and rude underage brat that fucked a dopey boy and acts surprised when a baby comes. At least that's what the trailer offered me for impression, but E Funk over there might be right.

Yeah, they tend to dwell on the "flashy" and "funny" parts to get your attention.

I want to see it, but I really hate going to the movies alone! I always need somebody to laugh with or pull an MST3K commentary during the movie.

Wait for the dvd release!! I thought i was witty and really really funny, but the songs kinda gave me a headache from being to "cute." I'm a musician, and i love lo-fi and indie stuff, but i kept waiting for the songs to end. Otherwise great movie.

A couple movies I really liked that I saw recently were:

Paprika: Satoshi Kon's new flick. Great animation and story. Realy creative characters. Same with Juno tho, music was drivin me nuts. Get a clue Satoshi no more crappy techno!

The Darjeeling Limited: New Wes Anderson film. Funny, quirky, and great cinematography! If you liked any of his movies (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Royal Taunenbaums, Life Aquatic) you're really dig this.

The Taste of Tea: Really unique Japanese indie film, you'll just have to trust me and watch it.

MY REVIEW:

I'm sorry, but this movie is lame.

The only thing that was good was that it stared the girl from Hard Candy, which I thought was really cool at first, but then it hit me that I wasn't watching Hard Candy, so it had less of an effect.

The movie was basically this- Knocked Up with an adoption twist staring MTV's Daria who thinks she's better than everyone else because she's different. The only other part that I liked was the adoption dad- minus all that Kurt Cobain bullshit. I was enjoying the name drops of (the) Melvins, Wizard of Gore, and even from that pissy-b*tch Daria-like character of Dario Argento and Susperia.

There ARE better movies out there, we don't always have to dig the teen-angster flicks.

(PS. I do like Daria, but that doesn't matter here).
