I played through and beat the game last weekend, and Maridia is still a legit maze to navigate through. I don't understand it, even after 15 years of playing through the game. Instead of being frustrating though, it's a part of the Super Metroid Charm that keep bringing me back for more and more playthroughs.

I could probably draw a map of the entire game off the top of my head.

Meh. I think part of the problem is so many people are conditioned to automatically check the internet for an answer to any question that arises these days instead of trying to figure it out. They've learned that it's easier and often quicker to google things when they hit the slightest uncertainty.
