I have a psp go (2 of them) and I have a psp 3000 (3 of them). I got them all cheap. I also bought the cradle for the psp go. I use the system to play on my television and to be able to use my PS3 controller for games instead of cramping my hands with the system. That is about the only advantage that I can see with the psp go. Without those two extra items I would not have purchased it.

A tablet can support a bluetooth gamepad and you get more bang for your buck. HD video, apps, internet browsing, ebooks, emulation etc.

PSP emulation on iOS/Android is less than stellar at the moment, though.

i dunno, if a PSP could run PS2 software somehow, i think a setup like the one described above would be the ultimate minimalist gaming machine.

and..i mean, i know it can't, but it'd be real neat if it could. it'd also be neat if it would make pizza and feed it to me while i play.

I meant if you already had a PSP as the original poster stated.

There's even less point in getting a Go now than there was when they were still making them. Unless you hack it you'll be overpaying for every single game you buy, and some of the best games aren't even on PSN anyhow. If you can find one for a super low price, go ahead if you want, but otherwise don't waste your money.

If it's cheap I'd pick it up. I'd say $50 to $60 is fair price for the unit and the cables. With a box its a great deal. What ever you buy on the PSN Store can be carried over to the VITA at a later date if and when you get one. The hardware is fantastic. The battery is better since there isn't a UMD tray in use. The Pearl White is cooler because I'm a sucker for sparkly hardware.

I don't have any PSP unit that is hacked so I can't comment on that at all.
