Dang that sucks and now Im reminded of a game I picked up recently forgot what it was but the disc was pretty much transparent...... lmao now im paranoid I know i just picked up the game recently but i cant find it.

NM it wasn't anything important just a old copy of 3-d minigolf for PC that I picked up in a mystery bag at goodwill. Such an odd disc works fine though.

yeah if it is disk rot then your disk is shot, its the result of a bad disk pressing. the data is lost for good. at least it was a rather cheap game, and not like panzer dragoon saga.
Individual pinholes like that aren't generally rot if there isn't a cluster and discoloration around the spots. Something could have rubbed against the disc and gone through the top layer.
