Sega Saturn game won't read
I recently purchased Alien Trilogy, and my Sega Saturn says the disc is incompatible with the system. Both the game and console are NTSC. All other games work fine on the system. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've tried cleaning the disc, but it doesn't work. Any help is much appreciated.

Could it be misprinted with PAL data? Slim chance but who knows.

Have you tried playing it without the memory cart?
What's the condition of the disc? All discs go funky when there's scratches on them.
In the past some of my saturns wouldn't read my copy of sonic jam (cause of scratches). At the menu I would press start game, the disc would spin and go back to the menu. If I took off the cart, the game would load automatically.
It also could be just be a defective game.
I have a copy of Independence day that despite looking clean doesn't play at all.

I don't have an action replay and there is some scuffs on the edges

Re: Sega Saturn game won't read
CDs read from the inside hole to the outside edge, so the game should at least start up, even with scratches, if they are toward the outside.MoNsTeRzKHAOS wrote:I don't have an action replay and there is some scuffs on the edges

Re: Sega Saturn game won't read
The game plays as a music cd, which shows it's obviously reading, but that's all it will do.

Only thing I can think of is disk rot, hold your disk up to a bright light are there any pinholes in it like this?

I just looked and there's at least 10, I'm guessing that's a bad thing.ninjainspandex wrote:Only thing I can think of is disk rot, hold your disk up to a bright light are there any pinholes in it like this?
