For photos, it is a great camera from a few years ago. For videos, it was Nikons first try and it shows. They go for $800ish, but I would push for someone stuck on Nikon and wanting to do both video and stills to look at the d7000 instead.Luke wrote:Any thoughts on the D90?

Im not a big time photo bug but I found my friends Rebel T3i pretty intuitive and fun to use. And now there is the T4i to consider. Of course anything you select in the $600-$800 range will be pretty comparable. I'd just look for a good package deal with an extra lens, case, mem card, etc. They pop up frequently on slickdeals.net
