Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Like I said before it would be best to cut it up into a bunch of smaller sections... like 3 different articles.

An article on the physics of Mario would be much smaller though. It would be pointless to get into the deep tech stuff of it, but to generalize the advancements it brought to 2D physics instead. Using basic techniques.

Just to say, the Physics of it... along with most Physics engines actually don't follow real life Physics... like in Science. They pretend to, a LOT, with little tricks.

I'm considering splitting it up a bit -- especially the history part.
I'll see how it goes. But you've done a nice job -- I won't have to slice and dice too much :)

Probably the Defining Games of the SNES and Genesis.
Lordofduct's upcoming AV article will be pretty long though....

I think Ill give it a sporting shot, Ive got a couple cooking.

However if no one else is up to the challenge on this, I can see what I can come up with. If nothing else I should be able to capture images and video for it, if need be.

I'd be willing to write part of all of it, but I don't think I'd be able to do the screen capture or get any solid video that's not shaky-cam stuff.

you can use a capture card (costs money) or a FREE way is to use an emulator and Fraps (fraps records your desktop and supports DirectX, the free version allows 60 second clips, more then enough time for each shot).
