Re: You've got a PS1, Saturn & Dreamcast (hypothetical quest
For me it would be the Dreamcast easily. I don't have a Saturn or have the drive to get one and I barely ever touch my PS1. I'm also not a fan of the awkward 3D pioneer generation.

DO NOT SELL ANYTHING
Too many times I read where members regret selling some or all of their systems. The irony is the consoles and games sold costs much more to replace when starting over again. Just put the non played consoles to the side, you might play them again years later.
Then there is this, applies to disc based memory cards too.

Still haven't gotten back all the crap I've sold off.
Re: You've got a PS1, Saturn & Dreamcast (hypothetical quest
If I can only keep one out of those three I'd keep the Dreamcast, no contest.
The Saturn would be the only one that would give me trouble in parting with. I have little to no desire for the PS1 (or PS2). Every time I go to get some retro games and I look over the PS1 section I usually don't buy anything; either making me me say "meh" or I'd rather have it on another system.

To better answer the thread question though:
I'd give up the Dreamcast first. Many of its best games have ports on other platforms nowadays. There's not really a lot I'd miss for it truthfully.
Playstation vs Saturn would be kinda a tough call for me. Assuming I can wuss out and just use a Ps2 for Ps1 games I'd keep the Saturn. If not... I'll probably still keep the Saturn anyway. Saturn has a lot of genuinely unique experiences.

If only one - Saturn.
If two - Saturn and Dreamcast.
I love my Saturn and have over a hundred titles for it. It does not have the RPG library like the PS1, but Ive stopped playing JRPGs over the past few years.

None of these games are on Saturn/N64/Dreamcast
Crash Team Racing (best kart racer ever)
Silent Hill
Crash Bandicoot 1-3
Jumping Flash! 1&2
Final Fantasy 7-9
Klonoa
Metal Gear Solid
Chrono Cross
Mega Man Legends 2
MediEvil 1&2
GTA
Tenchu 1&2
Tekken 1-3
Final Fantasy Tactics
Driver
Gran Turismo 1&2
Ape Escape
Vagrant Story
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (in US/EU)
Heart of Darkness
Abe's Odyssee and Exoddus
Spyro the Dragon 1-3
Xenogears
Twisted Metal

Those are just some examples. A bunch of games that are available on other consoles (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Resident Evil, Wipeout etc) became famous on the PS1 first before they got ported to other consoles.
PS1 has one of the most largest and diverse libraries when it comes to excellent games. I dont see how any console gamer could say something like that.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I'd keep the PS1 first, because of nostalgia and the huge number of great games. If I could have two, I'd add the DC to the list.

So does giving up a ps1 console and just playing ps1 games on a ps2/ps3 count or not?
