I might buy it... I dunno. I've had my DC copy for a long time, and it'd be such a pain to get all those emblems all over again.

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Remake
SA2 was SA1 without the crap- the useless overworlds, the breakable Tails stages, and the boring Amy stages. Big? Who's that? Sega's worst Sonic related material is a tie between Sonic 06 and Sonic Eraser SA1 had five stories nope don't know what you're talking about.
Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Remake
Well, as the article says, we all knew it was coming anyway. I appreciate that Sega can poke fun at themselves about it in the trailer though.
I'll pick it up of course, and I'll get all the emblems yet again!

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Remake
is this a port or a real remake like the halo anniversary? im betting this is going to be a straight port like sonic adventure 1 was.

Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Remake
There are elements of SA2 that I liked, but IMO it wasn't a good game. Too many levels were you don't play as Sonic/Shadow, too many awkward "fall of the level to your death" moments, and I never got the hang of grinding.

Grinding was refined in later games. It didn't really get good until Sonic 06, but everyone but me hates that game and refuses to see any good rail grinding before Unleashed.Nemoide wrote:There are elements of SA2 that I liked, but IMO it wasn't a good game. Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Remake
It would be cool if they remade Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 in the same style as Sonic Generations, with a combination of the best levels of both and the shitty parts (e.g. any other characters' levels) taken out. Obviously this will be just a straight HD port, like SA1 was, but I can dream right?
Every part of SA2 that didn't include Sonic or Shadow was a atrocious, which is a shame, because I honestly thing the Sonic and Shadow levels were really well designed and fun at the time.

It will probably be released as SA2: Battle, not the DC version like how SA1 was released as DX. It would be better if it was released as the DC version though.

I believe it would be better as the GC edition. Better multiplayer, graphics are better, bugs have been fixed, and the Chao Garden has been majorly improved.Ren Dan wrote:It will probably be released as SA2: Battle, not the DC version like how SA1 was released as DX. Don't get me wrong, I love SA2 for the Dreamcast, but I just like the Gamecube port more. Except the controls.
