Trying to find info on a game...

Okay, lets start real simple. Are you in the US? Did you play this on a TV or monitor? Oh and what year was it when you were 8? Important you answer if you want to narrow this down.

Yea Im in the US, michigan. It was late 80s (88-89, 90 tops). We played it on a tv. 100% certain on that. These floppys had several games on em, of course can't remember any other games.

This eats at me every few years, and I've tried finding it myself, with no luck.

Okay, US, meaning you probably weren't playing a ZX Spectrum. Okay, late 80s so the only early PCs that played on a TV that come to mind were C64, Atari 400-800, and one other...Let me go and check around....

Can't quite say, the controller we used is a bit fuzzy. I nvr really focused on what we using, jus playin lol. Sweet looking thing tho.

How close to that mock up was the game? There are a few games I can't find hardly any info on, one called "Flood" where water fills up in the room you're in.

The "growth" in the corner, the color is spot on. The black BG was there too. As well as grey walls. Only thing I'm not sure about is the structure in the middle of the playfield.

Thx a lot for the help! Much appresh!! But no, it was VERY basic shapes. My mockup is pretty close. We never knew what exactly to do, that ugly "growth" jus kept slowly creeping in as we flew around the screen.
