Is there a simple way to mod the PS2 so I'd be able to play japanese games and american PS1 games? Then I could get both Silverload and Vampire Collection and that would be awesome! My TV accepts NTSC, so there's no problem there.

I've heard people on these boards talk about Swap Magic. I haven't tried it myself yet, but it looks fairly simple. The only thing I'm leery about is disabling the "drive door open" switch on my slim PS2. I guess it's a small price to pay to be able to play imports though.
My games for sale: Racketboy, Amazon, eBay
My systems: NES, Nintendo 64, GameCube (Game Boy Player), Wii / Game & Watch: Ball, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP (x2), Nintendo DSi / Genesis (Sega CD, 32X), Saturn / Game Gear / PlayStation, PlayStation 2 / Xbox / Mac (Windows PC) / iPhone, iPad

Thanks Isiolia. Unfortunately, I am limited to the PS1/PS2 and PC, as I am not a hardcore gamer and probably never will be. I could of course go and buy games that I don't have the hardware for, but that seems really silly.

I do have The Beast Within original game on CD-ROM. Remember playing it quite a lot before, but after I changed PC's I never took the trouble of finding out how to run it on Windows 7. I should do that sometime, as I never totally finished it...

I heard about SwapMagic too, Duane. It's still not clear to me if that will allow me to play NTSC PS1 games too, though... I'd like to have a simple sollution that I don't have to change each time for a different type of game. On the other hand, my imports would be limited to just 2 games (one PS1 US game and one PS2 Japanese game), so maybe it's not worth the trouble (and money). Thanks anyway!

Keep 'em coming, good folks! :D

I don't know if you play PC games at all, but given your interests, this game seems right up your alley and it's free:

I'm sure you will appreciate this PS2 commercial:

Also, Sims 2: Pets allows you to become a werewolf and you can buy that for PS2 or PC:

If you ever get a Nintendo 64 there are two Castlevania titles on the system. I believe they both feature werewolves as enemies. (I need to double-check this but I believe you can play as a werewolf in one of the games.)

Thanks guys. The WolfQuest game looks really need, so I'm downloading that right now. Sims 2 sounds great too, though I'm not really into that open-end type of gameplay. Wondering if I should get it for the PS2 or for PC? The PC versions looks and seems better, but I'm not sure if it will run on Windows 7... Do any of you know?

I was bidding for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night yesterday, but someone snatched it up at the very last second. Bidding had already gone up to $100, so I thought that was kinda steep... Maybe I'll have to see if I can find it and play it on an emulator or something.

Just ordered Nightmare Creatures, by the way, so that's another one secured.

Just looked into Sonic Unleashed. I'm not really a Sonic fan, but it sounds quite cool. And you can get it dead cheap here in Sweden, so I'll probably go for it! Thanks!

I have The Sims 2 running on a Windows 7 PC. It works for me.

I wanted to help out a little bit with this. Here are a couple of entries I don't believe were listed yet:

PlayStation

Rampage World Tour - one of the playable characters is Ralph the Werewolf
Suikoden II - Features a werewolf character, though good luck with the price.
Darkstone - Europe only saw this on PS1 I believe. Mages can learn to turn into werewolves.

PlayStation 2

Rampage: Total Destruction - Ralph the Werewolf returns
Underworld: The Eternal War - Based on the Underworld franchise, you'll be primarily fighting werewolves

PC

The Beast Within: A Gabriel Knight Mystery - Gabriel Knight hunts a werewolf. It's from the mid-90s, so getting it to run might be difficult on modern computers.
Discworld Noir - Also saw release on PlayStation, this game features a main character who becomes a werewolf part-way through.
Silverfall - Nature Mages can gain the ability to transform into werewolves.

Does that help any?
