Gamecube version was the only one I had and I was totally fine with it

They're overall minor gripes though I'd say. If you only have a gamecube and really must have a 2D fighter, I'd still recommend it.

That's cool, that's fine. I understand completely. That's why I said and advised IF he has another console that happens to have a port (that entire gen has a version to call its own lol!) he should look into it.

You threw me off, made me think there was a Wii version of Pacman Vs.sabrage wrote:There's only one good arcade stick for Wii.
There's also a couple great shmups you can use it with: Ikaruga, Chaos Field, Radio Allergy. And I imagine it would work well with Pac-man Vs. Sevin pretty much covered all the fighting games, though. There was that one Castlevania game, but I've only heard bad things about it.
Edit: Looks like Guilty Gear XX Accent Core got a Wii release.
The Wii Tatsunko vs Capcom Fight Stick will not work on Gamecube games, only Classic Controller games on the Wii. However it is easy to mod to other controllers, I'm looking at different approaches on my spare.

Well, I want a stick that I can use for both Wii and GC games.CD AGES wrote:In confused because the header reads GCN but i see Wii arcade stick recomendations as well as TVC game. Anywho Hori has an arcade stick for the wii that's as solid as the TVC stick by MCZ. In regards to Wii fighters SNK released a few fighting compilations on the console like SamSho anthology and KOF orochi.
If you have another system that has a port of CVS2, then avoid the GCN version as much as possible. Easily the worst port available for home consoles.
Insert clever quote here.

Lol, that's funny. It's my favorite version of the game out of the 4 home ports. Add a GCN hori stick or an SNES pad to it, and it cannot be beat.CD AGES wrote:Perhaps the sprites are as jaggy as the PS2 version but the overall color of the game looks washed out and bland. The loading is apperant though when you are used to non existen loading found on the other versions and it def does become an issue considering the game goes through multiple loading segments for every round (and there are plentgy of rounds during 3 on 3 matchups). It's an deplorable port considering the hardware. I'm in no way chalking this up to the console, just a bad translation by the devs. But the game is far from 100% identicle to its competitors version lol!
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Just gotta throw in something. Bloody Roar Primal Fury is a definite must. Some may call it a button masher and...well it might be to a degree, but it's FUN. Also there's both a GC and Wii version of MK Deception. I assume the GC version's got better control.

Yeah that is funny. Beacause the DC GDrom port with an Agetec DC arcade stick or the PS2 version with a hori stick does indeed beat it. To each their own I guess...Lol, that's funny. It's my favorite version of the game out of the 4 home ports. Add a GCN hori stick or an SNES pad to it, and it cannot be beat.

Get a PS1 or PS2 Arcade Stick. The most versatile in adaptor availability for other consoles including the Wii and Gamecube.3DSStrider wrote:Well, I want a stick that I can use for both Wii and GC games.

Some discussion on the changes in CvS2 from the arcade/DC/early PS2 to the Gamecube/Xbox/later PS2 versions:

I don't play the game seriously enough to comment on a favorite, but I thought that might help people compare the versions.

The trivia is interesting but there is something about the tone of a conversation on Shoryuken that always turns me off.mugenmidget wrote:Some discussion on the changes in CvS2 from the arcade/DC/early PS2 to the Gamecube/Xbox/later PS2 versions:
