What are the best nonviolent games that have a storyline?

Oh, Space Channel has a story and is nonviolent. So is Jet Grind Radio and Jet Set Radio Future, both games where you fight the system through art and expression(or street graffiti if you want to be less pretentious about it)

Wow, I totally meant to type in Child of Eden. In my defense, apparently Rez's development title was Project Eden (not that I knew that beforehand).Xeogred wrote:Wow, someone else in the world has played Project Eden?![]()

To sum it up if anyone cares, it was like a 3D Lost Vikings basically. One of the strangest games I've ever played no doubt, good stuff.

Unless bumping into people counts as violence.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Disaster Report seems non-violent so far - I'm not done. You struggle against nature and a crumbling city infrastructure.
Mr. Mosquito. Does it count if you're just trying to sustain your own life through the winter, avoiding detection, and thus being squished. You're not fighting, just kinda snacking. On human blood.

Re: What are the best nonviolent games that have a storyline
It's up and down depending on which game in the series you're playing, but I'd say Harvest Moon qualifies.
The games always have an overarching story, even if its very minimal in certain cases. On top of that, the better you get to know the townspeople, the more individual stories come out or happen to you.
Save the Homeland and A Wonderful Life are probably the best examples of it, but its there in some way in many of the games.

Maybe Ouendan?
The answer really depends on what definition you use for "nonviolent" and "storyline". Meteos has a story, sort of (it is a bit ridiculous though).
Ivo.
