I want to continually access online for game demo downloads, reviews and play every single game without dealing with the constant update of a crack patch and concern if a newer Nintendo update would kill a modded Wii. I wonder if the crop of fifty demos I downloaded last week also included a hidden check for a modded Wii patch? Something to think about when you mod a Wii, DSi, PSP, PS3, 360 or even your Cell Phone.
Yeah...
First off I seriously doubt Nintendo's going to be releasing anymore updates, with the wiiU coming out this year and the fact that Nintendo’s not going to be releasing any big titles on the system after skyward sword.
Even if they did it's incredibly easy to block them. Literally you just push a button.
Soft modding your Wii is probably the best thing you can possibly do to it. It unlocks a plethora of untapped resources with in the system and if you ask me, makes it allot better console. Whatever "risk" there is in modding it is well worth it.
