Perfectly said.

The only thing I would do with matchmaking is take away a few things (ie Team Tactical merged with Team Slayer maybe... put Big Team Battles as ranked. ..that is all I can think of specifically without my game running right now).

Campaign on both Halo 2 and 3 blow. I like the 4 player co-op for campaign, nice touch, but the boring repetitive gameplay keeps me just going back to multiplayer.

My god, the playlists could use alot of tweaking... But thats beside the point as the core concept is really good and its just a matter of Bungie studying the veto stats (they know when players veto each gametype - which obviously means they don't like it) and the playlists should be much better then.

I just finished H3 last night and while I did really enjoy a half-dozen moments, its quite repetitive - yes. And its been done before. I got a major feeling of deja vu in many of the indoor structures, which have a degree of 'cookie-cutterness', symmetry and overall sameness thats highly reminiscent of Halo 1. Thats a very, very bad thing - it was forgiveable 5+ years ago or whatever when H1 came out, but now it seems sloppy and borderline insulting.

So in summary, Bungie, give us more good multiplayer maps, better playlists and get the f*ck out of the way!

Well, Forge doesn't sound like it lets you do much, but at the same time, the reviewer mentions how even simple changes can completely alter the multi-player experience, and I think that's what's key. You don't need to make huge changes in order to get significants results in terms of varied gameplay.

As for the trusted sources thing, I consider a trusted source a source I know well enough that I can form an opinion based on their review. Doesn't mean that opinion agrees with them. It just means that reviews are consistent enough in terms of detail and presentation that I feel I have adequate information afterwards. I feel that way about Ebert's movie reviews. I very often disagree with Ebert, but I know his style well enough that I can get the information I need out of his reviews.
