Snag a copy of Astro Boy Omega Factor. It really is one of the best sidescrolling action games ever made.

Also, take advantage of them SNES ports. Link to the Past is wonderful on GBA, as well as the Donkey Kong Country series. Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion do an extraordinary job at picking up on what Super Metroid left behind.

They work. The SNES versions were definitely way better, but as portable titles, they play well IMO.

I agree. I have the first DKC on GBA, and I liked it just fine. But the SNES version is still better.

Just got myself a GBA SP off ebay, I mainly want to play A Link To The Past and Mario Golf. Can anyone confirm the Mario Golf game is as good as the N64/Gamecube iterations, as I LOVED them. So much to do!

The GBC Mario Golf is excellent. The GBA plays just as well, but lacks any "Quick Play" mode, so the RPG element is shoved down you're throat.

The sound quality raped the soundtracks of the first two games, and they composed new, poorer songs for the third.

If you have recently bought a GBA, you need to buy Drill Dozer. This game is beautiful and fun, albeit a bit too easy.

There's a quick play mode. It's next to story mode on the main menu :S

It could be worse. It could be like their Tennis game. I literally got 20 minutes into the game and turned it off since I had yet to see a tennis court.

As stated, the GBA golf game is fun, but it's essentially a golf RPG. The GameCube version is basically "Nintendo's Hot Shots Golf" (they both had the same developer and play almost the same).

I can't speak to the GBA version, but I do recommend Mario Golf for the GBC. It's one of the best sports games for the 8-bit handheld and since the GBA is backwards comparable, why not?

There is so much you can get on gameboy advance.... even the thought of that makes me laugh hysterically when someone says they don't find something that interests them.
