Anyway, if you do manage to get a stable connection, I recommend getting XDP, a homebrew web browser that is still being updated: http://www.dcisozone.com/downloads/924/ ... owser.html
Once you're online, there are still some fun games to play online, like Quake III Arena, Phantasy Star Online (via SCHThack's private server), and some Gamespy-hosted games, as well.

in my case, yes. There's a way if you have the original model A modem to get online via plugging into a PC modem and using yr broadband though.

Tarter sauce. I wanted to play PSO but I don't have home phone service, and the PC-DC thing for Linux looks way over my head.

I am in the same boat. I have the wrong version modem for setting up the PC-DC server. Even if I had one, looking at the method to get online you need to have a degree in rocket science just to set everything up on the computer.

I just faced the fact that I will never get online with my Dreamcast.

You can use the Sylent PSO Patcher boot disc released last month and a free dialup ISP to get PSO online. At least I think so. I haven't gotten it working myself yet.
