Magic 3-in-1!

The older one, that supported Saturn. It was cheaper than the SS USB pad that came out(sold out) of late. Plus, I have a pile of SS pads.
I also use the wired 360, good for Tomb Raider clones but the d-pad is pretty much ass for arcade shooters.

I use a Wireless Xbox 360 controller for all my PC gaming (which isn't much).

That stick looks sick bozskaggs! I use a HRAP2 or my old MAS Systems with a PS2 > PC USB adapter typically. If I get a JVS PAC (to hook an arcade JVS/IO to a PC usb port) or wire a couple pad hack adapters, I could use the sticks I built for my NAOMI.

Well one question is whether you prefer a pad or a stick. Most people tend to prefer a stick, and the choices for that are far and wide, though you'll most likely want to look for a seimitsu stick, as those tend to be the stick of choice for shmups due to their shorter throw.
As far as pads, Saturn pads are pretty popular, as are the fighting pads from 360/PS3. However! I strongly recommend the PS3 versus pad (or the marvel versus pad if you're more of a 360 guy). It's very similar to the Neo Geo Pocket Color/Neo Geo CD in that it has a thumbstick, fully digital, like a little arcade stick for your thumb. This has become my go-to pad, due to the fact that it's much easier to get out for some quick shmupping than a full size arcade stick. It works very well, and it's relatively cheap (roughly $30 on Amazon). You can stop by a GameStop and try it out if you're unsure, but I think it's pretty freaking amazing. Plus, it's really clicky, and that's just awesome.

I have USB adapters for PS1/2, GC, and SNES. I also have the Saturn USB pad and regular PS2 Saturn pad. I guess it really just depends on what I want to use at the time.
Typically I try to use the controller for the original shooter for the system was on. If it's arcade, probably a Saturn pad or SNES as I like those best anyways.

I've gone between using a PS2 stick with a usb adapter, to a PS3 Hori fightingstick, and now use a custom 360 stick. being able to use the same controller with no extra dongles for all my gaming is really nice. It feels pretty awkward using my other sticks now.

What all does that support? I've been looking for a 9 pin one for my Genesis controller and Atari joystick for a while now with little luck.

I use my modded Saturn controller. It was originally a plain-jane Saturn mock-up gamepad, but the d-pad didn't have the right feel and would occasionally be innacurate, so I took one of my actual Model-2 Saturn controllers and swapped out everything. This was easy, since the plastic molds of everything in the two controllers were shaped exactly the same.
It's been lasting me for over a year now, and still works perfectly.

The one pictured does Saturn, PS1/2 and Gamecube. Dunno about a Genesis -> USB, good luck google-ing.
