Shut up about MK Trilogy. It wasn't even an official Mortal Kombat game.

Plus, it was glitchy as fuck. Load times were TERRIBLE. The regular black label version wasn't even backwards-compatible on PS2. The Greatest Hits version was but caused constant game freezes. The N64's version had the sound all fucked up. I mean, seriously.

MK4 was easily the worst MK game. That was the one that killed a lot of people's interest. Shit, even Ed Boon has admitted that.

The only people that didn't like Armageddon were the ones that probably didn't like any of the 3D MK's to begin with. Because it's sure as shit better than Deadly Alliance and Deception.

Deadly Alliance was a great entry after the piece of shit that MK4 was. But a lot of the characters didn't have many of their classic moves. None of the characters had a teleport move. Each character had only one fatality and that's it. No stage fatalities. Most stages had stupid invisible walls. No secret hidden fighters. Test your might was retarded. Konquest was a chore. The average character only had 2 special moves. You can only throw Kitanas fans once during a fight. I mean, c'mon..

Deception brought the series back to its darker feel. But it added that unnecessary "Hara Kiri" crap that COMPLETELY WRECKED the game for me. Most of the cool/interesting stuff in the krypt was locked and had be found in Konquest, which was fun at times BUT WAY TOO GODDAMNED DRAGGED OUT. Also, some of the stuff could only be found AFTER YOU FINISHED KONQUEST ONCE? Gimmie a fucking break! Then they bring Liu Kang back as a stupid zombie.

So, whatever. I like Armageddon so just piss off.

What the hell? What am I even supposed to say to this? I mean, what??? So the most well received MK game outside of MKII is somehow NOT an MK game? I don't even get this. Everything is bizzaro MK with you. MK:A is awesome, MKT is balls, up is down and down is up. Please just stop talking about Mortal Kombat, it's embarrassing.

It wasn't made by the MK team, darlin'. It was just thrown together by outside developers using the MK3 and UMK3 PS1/Saturn ports. Hence it's not an official Mortal Kombat game.

From Wiki: "Mortal Kombat Trilogy was met with mainly mediocre and positive reviews. The game was praised for having every character from the previous Mortal Kombat games, and adding new content to the game not seen in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, however it was criticized though for its brutal difficulty and high number of glitches."

As was mentioned earlier, Armageddon has some glitches as well. But it was made by the MK team and I feel that it's a MUCH more solid product than Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

Have you even spent that much time on Armageddon? Because it sounds like you're just going by what others have said about the game (and Trilogy) rather than playing it yourself and drawing your own conclusions. Because I am aware that probably the vast majority of the "MK Community" loved Trilogy, but I always thought those people were nuts. Mainly because it was glitchy and broken as hell. And once again, not even an official MK game.

Meh, I personally found Deception to be quite good. The characters were brought back to their roots, all the classic moves returned as well as some new ones, and weapons kept the game fun and interesting for me. Not only that, but I thought the animation was fantastic. As far as MKA is concerned, I'm still on the fence about picking it up - I would much rather get the newest one and find MKA in a bargain bin for 10 bucks later down the road.

I don't think I'm going to look at a Mortal Kombat thread on this site ever again.

It was. But the "Hara Kiris" ruined the game for me. The MK team should have given us the option to turn those off.
