My favorite is the saturn's. I grew up on the nes and snes controllers, but I got a saturn a couple months ago and it is definitely more comfortable.

I'll second the original Xbox controller.

the fat one, not the "s" model.

I have never liked shoulder buttons, i was disapointed when i saw the 360 had em.

I'm a big fan of the Gamecube's, mainly due to the button placement. Sucks for traditonal fighters, but is generally better for every other genre. The shoulder buttons have too much travel, though..

Also, the Xbox 360's is awesome.

The Hori Gamecube controller. It resembles a Super Nintendo controller but works on the Gamecube. It is awsome when used with the Gameboy Player attatchment for the GC.

My pad of choice is the original "Microsoft Sidewinder" pad, the ultra smooth + responsive D-Pad is the biggest turn on in regards to why I like it, it also "filled my hands up", I hate it when I am holding a pad and it feels like I am having to smash my wrist inward to make it fit my hands.

My favorite system pad is probbaly the NeoGeo AES pad or the Sega Saturn pad, anything else just plane sucks for v.s. fighters.

Let me know if you are looking for another Microsoft sidewinder gamepad. It is the one with the USB connection but the first revision which I am told is superior to the later released ones. I can list it on Ebay for you with a BIN price. I converted an XBOX controller with a USB plug on the end an prefer that over the Sidewinder.
