You aren't alone, Mozgus. I have simply avoided Paypal altogether. I only buy things on eBay with US Postal Money Orders, because then if anything goes screwy it becomes a clear case of mail fraud (federal offense) with a paper trail (M.O. receipt issued by the PO) which could be used to get the US PO to investigate.

Sorry but i think you made a huge mistake. You are now missing one of the best places to buy and sell.

Ebay has over 100,000,000 million users, they dont care if you owe them $100. They will try to get their $100 but even if they fail In the end you only screwed yourself. You will never go back on ebay on your own, and they will probabally report this to a credit agency and screw your credit. Then when you want to take out a nice loan to rent a nice women for the weekend, you will be turned down.

In a place where you can save thousands in a long run you want to screw ebay a measley $100 for listing fees and final value fees when you knew to begin with that you have to pay them at the end of the month.

You are acting a little childish (mabye you are in fact 13) and you will regret your actions one day when you want to find a rare video game and ebay is the only place to get it.

I have been screwed on ebay a few times, but ebay had me quit my full time job and earn a income on my own.

Good luck

with regards to the advice, always send the item with online tracking, paypal are lazy, if they cant click a link you email them to check it was sent then they assume its not 9 times out of 10. That stub you got from the post office probably means nothing in a dispute with them.

In the US a US Post Office receipt is all the proof you need that you sent something. It is a federally issued document and Paypal could run afoul of legal troubles if they started disregarding such items.

You'd be surprised. When disputing a claim online, you have to submit a delivery confirmation/tracking number.
There's no way to mail in your receipt. It's all electronic.

What about scanning the documents? I thought that was what computer scanners were for in the first place?

You just have to call them and mail it to them, then. Besides, when you get a receipt you have a transaction number.
